Hi Arancia Fam!
We are so excited to announce that we have a new PT joining the Arancia Family, Mckenzie Talbot!
Starting off with a fun fact, Mckenzie and Dr. Jess’s husband Steven both worked at the Coastguard House in Narragansett, Rhode Island, Mckenzie as a waitress and Steven as a bar tender, long before Dr. Jess had met either of them! Small world, right?
Dr. Mckenzie Talbot, originally from Maine, attended the University of New England in Biddeford Maine, where she graduated a semester early, for her undergraduate studies in pre-medical. She then went on to attend graduate school at the University of Rhode Island, earning her Doctorate of Physical Therapy in 2012!
Dr. Mckenzie has been in practice for the past 9 years, specializing in sacroiliac joint dysfunction, chronic back, sports injuries, cervical and thoracic spine, as well as temporomandibular dysfunction. In addition to her traditional training, Dr. Jess was the one to introduce her to the John F Barnes method of Myofascial Release, which she places at the core of her practice. She believes in treating the whole body, not just a part, and embraces this holistic approach to medicine. This is one of the aspects of her training that makes her the perfect fit for Arancia! She mirrors Dr. Jess in the way that she believes in treating the entire person, through both the mind and the body.
In her spare time, Dr. Mckenzie enjoys yoga, barre, occasional kickboxing, traveling, and skiing. She also enjoys cooking and entertaining, spending time with friends and family, anything to do with the ocean, and her beloved (and adorable!) puppy.
If you end up being one of our patients that is lucky enough to be treated by Dr. Mckenzie, just know that you are in the best of hands!
Join us in giving Dr. Mckenzie a warm welcome to Arancia as we are so excited to have her joining our amazing community!
