Knowing when Traditional Therapy or Exercise Alone is Not Enough

Have you been blowing through all of your insurance coverage trying traditional therapies with little to no success?

Getting some temporary relief but no long-term resolution of your symptoms?

We’ve been there, and we see clients like you every day who are looking for the root cause and a permanent solution to their chronic mystery pain.

  If you are not seeing results after hours and hours in a clinic doing exercises, stretches, machines, chiropractic manipulations, and massage, you can be left feeling hopeless and defeated, not to mention frustrated with all of the time and money wasted.

  With traditional physical therapy and chiropractic care,  you should be seeing a difference in at least 6-8 weeks. If not, there may be a missing piece to the puzzle that hasn’t been addressed.

What is fascia?

Fascia is a specialized system in the body, including very dense, woven tissue, which covers and penetrates every muscle, nerve, bone, organ, and blood vessel as well as the spinal cord and brain. It is one continuous web of tissue that runs from head to toe. This is exactly how each part of the body is connected, and why pain somewhere may be due to fascial restrictions in a completely different location. Myofascial restrictions are caused by repetitive strains like prolonged postures or repetitive movements. They are also caused by physical or emotional trauma, surgeries, and other inflammatory responses. The fascial tissue loses the water it usually contains, drying up and sticking together like old spaghetti. It no longer slides and glides well throughout the complex web. These restrictions, as mentioned, can cause pain and tension elsewhere in the body, as well as compress local structures like nerves and blood vessels in the area. Myofascial restrictions can actually create tensile loads of approximately 2000 pounds per square inch. Unfortunately, these restrictions do not show up on imaging tests such as X-rays and MRIs, so many people suffering from chronic pain get dismissed by their care providers, leaving them suffering, feeling like there’s nothing they can do, and/or relying on harmful pain medications like opiates.

So What Now?

If this sounds like you, we highly recommend re-evaluating whether the treatment you are currently receiving is worth your time and hard-earned money and reaching out to a specialist who understands the role of fascia and how to work with it to solve chronic pain for good.

At Arancia PT, in addition to chronic pain clients, we also see a lot of women and men suffering from things like incontinence, painful intercourse, prolapse, interstitial cystitis, and other pelvic issues. The pelvis contains many muscles, and bones, and is home to many organs that are surrounded by, you guessed it, fascia. This is why treating pelvic health issues should be left to specialists that work with fascia as well as who do internal work including vaginal and rectal techniques. For example, restricted fascia around the bladder and surrounding area can make the bladder smaller, increasing pressure on it, and causing you to need to urinate more frequently or urgently. If left unaddressed, this can contribute to urinary incontinence. This is why looking at pelvic health issues through a myofascial lens with a pelvic health specialist, is key to solving these issues. Traditional pelvic PT and traditional therapies, in general, can often miss this important link to long-lasting results.

Here at Arancia PT, we are Experts in authentic John Barnes Myofascial Release (MFR) and Pelvic Health Specialists who combine our skills, knowledge, and experience to provide each client with an individualized treatment plan to get to the root of their problem. We use a hands-on approach. There are no machines, no assistants, and no time left alone doing exercises. We are known for getting you outcomes, not just putting a bandage on your symptoms. We do a full body evaluation to identify your unique fascial patterns and restrictions… we don’t just work on one body part as we know everything is connected. We work with our hands to provide the hands-on myofascial release approach as well as perform craniosacral therapy to balance the nervous system and reprogram old unhelpful pain patterns. We know the importance of your time and money and want to help you get to your goal as efficiently as possible.

If you are receiving traditional therapy and are not improving, please reach out to us to learn more about Our Conquer Mystery Pain Method and how we can help get you feeling better, faster. We would be honored to help you on your journey to achieve this!
